FAQ
Quick answers about the directory. Anything else: info@thecigarguys.com.
How do I list my event?
Use the Submit an event page. It's free, there's no account, and clean listings publish immediately after an automated check. You'll land back on the calendar with your event live.
Why was my submission rejected?
An automated check screens every submission and only approves genuine cigar-related events — it rejects spam, ads for unrelated products, offensive content and gibberish. If it declined yours, the form shows the reason; edit the listing and resubmit.
How do I correct or remove a listing?
Email info@thecigarguys.com with the event link and what needs to change. That covers your own submissions and anything else on the calendar.
Do you sell tickets?
No. We're a directory — ticket and RSVP links go straight to the organizer or venue. Always confirm details with them before making plans; events change without notice.
How is my default city chosen?
Your connection's approximate city (provided by our host at page-load time) pre-selects the city filter when it matches a known cigar city. Nothing is stored, and you can switch to any city — or everywhere — with one click.
Why do you show past events?
The calendar doubles as a record of the scene. Past events sit in their own "Recently held" section below the upcoming list.
Can I add an event to my calendar?
Yes — every event page has an Add to calendar button with Google Calendar, Outlook.com and Apple/iCal options.
Are you affiliated with cigar brands or venues?
No. The Cigar Events is an independent, free directory built by The Cigar Guys. We don't sell tobacco and we don't take advertising from it.
